The Secret Life of ADDults
Join Susan Lasky on Monday, May 14, 2018, when she speaks at the CHADD of Putnam and Vicinity meeting in Pleasantville, NY.
General Meeting: 7:30 PM
Topic: “THE SECRET LIFE OF ADDults”
Most people who have ADHD (or executive function dysfunctions) manage to do the expected — hold a job… run a household… raise children… volunteer. From the outside looking in they are leading lives in the mainstream. But they struggle, and often their families do as well. What is not seen is the frustration, failed efforts and negative self-talk (“I ‘should’ be able to… It’s my fault… What’s wrong with me?…”).
Join us for a conversation about some common ADHD challenges, and practical compensatory strategies that can change outcomes. We’ll also discuss how mindset and attitude can make a major difference.
Speaker: Susan Lasky — Certified Productivity & ADHD Coach, Consultant and Professional Organizer
Susan co-founded CHADD of NYC in 1989 and was a pioneer in ADD-awareness. As an ADDult and parent of a now-grown child with ADHD, she brings a personal perspective to this topic.
